The Sun-eyed Children of a Marvellous Dawn - A Vision of Sri A.

I saw the Omnipotent’s flaming pioneers
Over the heavenly verge which turns towards life
Come crowding down the amber stairs of birth;
Forerunners of a divine multitude,
Out of the paths of the morning star they came
Into the little room of mortal life.
I saw them cross the twilight of an age,
The sun-eyed children of a marvellous dawn,
The great creators with wide brows of calm,
The massive barrier-breakers of the world
And wrestlers with destiny in her lists of will,
The labourers in the quarries of the gods,
The messengers of the Incommunicable,
The architects of immortality.
Into the fallen human sphere they came,
Faces that wore the Immortal’s glory still,
Voices that communed still with the thoughts of God,
Bodies made beautiful by the spirit’s light,
Carrying the magic word, the mystic fire,
Carrying the Dionysian cup of joy,
Approaching eyes of a diviner man,
Lips chanting an unknown anthem of the soul,
Feet echoing in the corridors of Time.
High priests of wisdom, sweetness, might and bliss,
Discoverers of beauty’s sunlit ways
And swimmers of Love’s laughing fiery floods
And dancers within rapture’s golden doors,
Their tread one day shall change the suffering earth
And justify the light on Nature’s face.

The Yoga of the Vision (I part)

Disconnecting yoga from life, making of it a dry mental doctrine and selfish search for a truth abstract from life, that is a great illusion, as "integral yoga" covers all the aspects, inner and outer of life.

It is not a personal growth but a collective, in this yoga we envision the totality of life as our field of action, otherwise the word "integral" there it hasn´t any meaning.

A yoga practitioner, a searcher after the Truth, a human being, cannot remain impassive  in front of the degradation of the value of Life which is the common factor of this proud modern society and civilization, which has grown as a giant with the feet of clay, because it vitiated its own purpose which had to be established on the protection of the ambiance which provides it life and sustenance.
This is not a moral yogic truth, it is plain and simple common sense.

The aim of Yoga is Life, because  "All Life is Yoga", Sri Aurobindo said.

The yoga of the vision will never start before we have a correct vision and interpretation of the more material world.
The yoga of the vision starts spontaneously when a sensible mind and a sensible heart unite toward the understanding of the whole phenomenon of Life.
That great synthetic vision that follows and result from it, is the entrance to the subtler levels of reality, and it´s an indispensable condition, eventually, to avoid unbalanced approach to it.

The subtler world extend itself from the correct vision we have of the material world, an integral vision, which means not only of its mechanical but of the moral order too.
Then, it spontaneously opens to one, as the divine Isis covered by a mantle of stars to the view of the devotee, but naked for the initiate.

(the following passages are from Mother´s speeches):

And even a person who tried in his yoga to liberate himself totally from the terrestrial and human state of consciousness, would be tied down, in his subconscious at least, to the state of the mass, which acts as a brake and actually pulls backwards.

And that is why Sri Aurobindo also says, somewhere else, that a double movement is necessary, and that the effort for individual progress and realization should be combined with an effort to try to uplift the whole mass and enable it to make the progress that’s indispensable for the greater progress of the individual: a mass-progress, it could be called, which would allow the individual to take one more step forward.

(II part) Russia in the Vision, add.comm.

We should consider that in modern times, the ascendancy of the process we have described referring to Russia is to be attributed to the French Revolution, which later on spread in farther revolutions in the whole world as a mean, the only available mean at that time, to produce a change, not only a social change but a collective and subliminal psychological change.
We are analyzing here the psychological process within that groups, not the physical circumstances or historical events.
It all sum up to a growing consciousness and will.
In a single city (Paris) and not representing the whole of the individuals but a group( though a larger group) or along other revolutions and the American War of Independence, we see that smaller process trying to reproduce itself at a larger scale.
 A progressive, widening growth.
When we came to the Russian Revolution it was still a same process but at a wider, whole consent of the independent united will of the whole nation. Now it was not a city anymore, or part of a nation, but the whole nation with the whole of its citizen.

And we may say, it never happened before at such great an extent of individuals as a whole nation. It was a first and absolute record in the history of humanity, and in the akashic vision, it surrounded the country and citizens of Russia with a halo of light ever there on them, as a kind of definitive mark of light on the whole nation. I could not see comparison with that brightness in any other country.
So to say, they were the heralds of some great and meaningful change of the humanity, and it shined in all its truth in the akashic records.

The fact is that this growth is not condemned to remain fruitless, as it is within the modes, times and needs of growth of the consciousness on earth, and it has to -infuse- the collective consciousness and be absorbed by it, in a process that may require time and the insurgence of new or different conditions which may not enable us to clearly follow it.
There is not any need that an higher cycle of that same process have to reproduce itself under the same circumstances and with the same elements once that elements have accomplished their historical function.
And where first an armed revolution was needed, now may be not the case anymore, and the action of that will discover new resourses and ways of expression and achievement.
............................................
The situation before the First Revolution was that of a mass leaded by strong individuals, but never the autonomous decision of the mass, which was anyway a mean of progressive growth and certain rudimentary concept of communal growth and goals, but it was true only on the front line of the empire because the common people had not any idea of State.
At the same time, and all along the time, smaller communities but this time with a volitive decision to commune under some deeper ethical rules saw the light, manifesting the other important need of the consciousness in expansion: the need to recognize itself integrated in the universe that surrounds it.
